OK, turns out my tahoe trip this weekend fell through and we're now doing a day in bear valley and a day in yosemite. Does anyone have suggestions on cheap places to stay anywhere near either or between those places, like Sonora, etc.

I've stayed in Sonora a few times there are a few motels in town that are pretty reasonable. I forgot the brands but something along the lines of best western or motel 6. But y favorite place to stay in that neck of the woods is the Evergreen Lodge www.evergreenlodge.com/ -
