I'd like to go hiking on grouse ridge this weekend. grouse ridge is north of where HYW20 meets I80 (west of truckee, about 1+hr from sacramento). I'm up for either overnight backpacking or a day hike, depending on interest. I have never hiked there, but there are several trails and it looks like the length can be whatever we want it to be. I'm happy with 16-25 miles/day. it's supposed to be in the 70s this weekend and near freezing at night up there.
